Sunday April 19, 2020 Roundtable

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thanks for the most recent Roundtable, once again. I found the discussion on the difference between the foundation of our nations government being based upon Christian principles most interesting. In the study for the past and next Bible Studies with some of the readings being Revelation 17-18 most confusing, I turned to Revelation Interpreted by Rev. G A Kratzer for help. In his writing on those 2 chapters he refers back to the ‘beast’ in Chapter 13 page 267. There he explains the two beasts as “worldly government”and “ecclesiastical organizations” (animal magnetism) working together cutting off generic man from the Christ consciousness, Mary Baker Eddy’s true Christian Science Mother Church.

He does from my perspective an excellent job of explaining this and reading through to the end of Revelation (not necessarily in one sitting:) how the Christ always wins!!

Most grateful for the teachings and resources provided by the Plainfield Church!!
